Already in the manufacturing field? Ready to advance? Want to learn a new trade? Local manufacturers are hiring! Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Operator trainings are held Monday - Thursday (and some Fridays), 4-9:15 pm for 20 hrs/week in class at the Franklin County Technical School and online trainings. Note: Foundational Manufacturing is a pre-requisite to this training.

Classes include:

  • Blueprint Reading
  • CNC Programming
  • Introduction to CAD
  • CNC Career Readiness
  • CNC Mill Operations
  • CNC Lathe Operations

Trainings will prepare you for an entry level position as a machinist.

  • Starting wages range from $13-22/hr
  • More advanced courses toward a 1-year certificate or an associates degree with an Engineering Technology focus
  • Experienced precision machinists can make $40,000 to $75,000 annually
