An introduction to the practice and theory of wind electric generation. Topics include homeowner, small/business, utility, interior, offshore, grid tied and off grid wind systems; mechanical and electrical components; economic viability; environmental, aesthetic and safety concerns; and laws and permits. Students participate in site visits and meet with wind energy experts. Field trips required.
