This class will extend the student’s knowledge and experience in MIG, TIG, arc welding and welding safety. The focus of the class will be to provide maximum booth time to practice advanced welding skills, including out of position (vertical up and down, and overhead).

Pre-requisites for enrollment in Welding II

Students interested in Welding II should have established skills in basic brazing, shop safety, sheet metal forming and welding, basic MIG welding techniques, material cutting, fitting, and preparation to weld. Students that have taken Introduction to Welding Basics meet the requirements for Welding II. Students that have not taken Introduction to Welding Basics will need the approval of the instructor.
